Tom Fanning

Tom advises individuals, families, and businesses on a wide range of matters. With over twenty years of legal experience, he helps clients navigate both routine and complex transactions with a practical, business-minded approach.

Tom co-founded the firm in 2009 after spending three years at a large Philadelphia-based law firm. He built a practice focused on real estate, estate planning, and estate administration before stepping away from private practice from 2016 to 2024 to serve as General Counsel for a group of family-owned businesses. He continues to serve in that role on a part-time basis while maintaining his private practice with Glick, Goodley, Deibler, & Fanning, LLP.

Originally from rural Indiana, Tom attended North Carolina State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Economics and met his wife, Jill. He then earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 2006. While at Villanova, he served as an Associate Editor of the Villanova Law Review and concentrated his studies on transactional law, with a particular focus on real estate and estate planning.

Tom and Jill have been married for more than 20 years and have three children, Colin, Owen, and Clara. They are active members of St. Peter’s Church of the Brandywine, where Tom serves as a Eucharistic Minister and is a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Outside of his legal practice, Tom enjoys playing golf, studying golf course architecture, skiing, weight training, and cooking.
